Leadership to embed AMS into Practice (LEAP)

 
LEAP is a 12 month programme that develops confident clinical leaders who can drive antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) in everyday practice. It brings together healthcare professionals from across the workforce to build leadership capability, apply behaviour change and quality improvement approaches, and deliver meaningful AMS improvement in their own clinical areas.

We will initially be focusing on healthcare professionals working in the UK, with the intention of opening future cohorts to our wider global membership.

LEAP into Action

For healthcare professionals who want to lead real AMS change in their own clinical area. LEAP helps you build the confidence, skills and influence to drive better antimicrobial use, using practical behaviour change and quality improvement approaches that make a measurable difference.

We welcome applications from across the healthcare workforce, including Nursing, Medicine, Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions. You do not need to be a prescriber to take part.

LEAP as a Mentor

For AMS and infection specialists who want to inspire and empower colleagues to lead meaningful AMS change. As a LEAP mentor, you’ll strengthen your mentorship and coaching skills, support participants to build confidence and influence, and help them apply practical behaviour change and quality improvement approaches that improve antimicrobial use where it matters most.

Who can apply for the first cohort of LEAP?

  • Health care professionals who are working in primary or secondary care in the North of England, who have a role in the management of patients who have an infection or are on antibiotics.
  • Non infection specialists.
