LEAP is a BSAC-led initiative, developed to empower leadership in antimicrobial stewardship.
Founded in 1971, the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (BSAC) is the world’s leading community of infection experts, dedicated to equipping the global healthcare workforce with the knowledge, tools, and training needed to save and improve lives against the backdrop of rising drug-resistant infections.
Through our education and training programmes, extensive free-to-access eLearning courses, our renowned scientific journals, and our global accreditation scheme (GAMSAS), BSAC supports healthcare professionals and institutions to improve infection prevention, diagnostics, prescribing, and antimicrobial stewardship. GAMSAS is recognised as a case study in the UK’s National Action Plan, underlining its value in raising standards and delivering improvement.
